Doug Melville is currently Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), North America for TBWA Worldwide.
TBWA creates disruptive ideas expressed through media arts for clients. TBWA is a top ten ranked global advertising agency, with 323 offices in 97 countries and 10,000+ FT employees worldwide.
Since assuming the role of CDO, Doug has lead TBWA efforts in spending > $150mm with MWBEs in the US, increasing diversity across the board, and creating a cultural commitment to inclusion. He is also the Executive Producer and Co-Creator of TBWA’s Disruptor Series podcast – where he has interviewed guests such as Snoop Dogg, Maria Shriver, Mexico President Vicente Fox, Wendy Williams, Al Roker and Master of None co-creator Alan Yang.
Prior to joining TBWA, Doug was Founder and CEO of RedCarpets.com.
Previously, Doug worked alongside Earvin “Magic” Johnson as President of his ad agency, and as VP of his business development/marketing team at Magic Johnson Enterprises.
In his past lives Doug was a competitive cheerleader at his alma mater Syracuse University, drove the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile across 48 states, and was a tour manager on the Britney Spears “….baby one more time” tour.
