Moderated by Ken Pringle – Voice of “Medjed” Cleopatra In Space, DreamWorks

Learn while you laugh. The highly incorrigible Ken Pringle gathers with comic geniuses of the voiceover industry to teach you how to find the funny. They’ll demonstrate through live cold reads and audience Q&A. Good luck getting a straight answer without being offended. In fact, we’re not sure they know jack about the friggin’ craft of making sh*t funny, but here they are, ready to waste as much of your time as you’ll allow. After all, they’re not getting paid and they want you to suffer for it. Ken Pringle is the voice of “Medjed” from Cleopatra In Space, DreamWorks. AI TECHNOLOGY: VOICE ACTORS AND THE FUTURE OF SYNTHETIC VOICE

Moderated by Anne Ganguzza, Voice Talent/Coach/Producer

Synthetic speech technology is here, and voice actors and producers are seeking guidance and solutions as this vast new landscape. Clearly, a collaboration between developers and voice talent can be a major component of advancing and creating effective communication strategies for good. This panel will take a deep dive into what’s new in the world of synthetic voice technologies, and how it may impact your career. And we’ll answer the question, “What does it mean for the livelihood of voice actors the world over?” Can professional voice actors incorporate AI as an asset? Can voice actors and developers work together to help build a profitable, ethical, and fair synthetic voice culture of the future?

Anne Ganguzza has curated a panel to take on this controversial topic head-on, and she brought together experts from California to Brooklyn to Ukraine to help bring the full picture to life. Meet Abran Maldonado (Co-founder of Creat Labs to create new opportunities for underserved youth), Alex Serdiuk (CEO and Co-founder of Respeecher – specializing in voice cloning), Lauren Cowles (Sr. Director of Program Management at Veritone – using synthetic voice to build new applications and personalized consumer experiences), Rob Sciglimpaglia (actor, voice artist, and attorney who has been deeply involved in advocating for the legal rights as it pertains to the use of the human voice for synthetic speech.) and Jon Stine (Executive Director of the Open Voice Network – an open-source community dedicated to the development of technical standards and usage guidelines for the emerging world of AI-enabled voice assistance.) And, introducing C.L.Ai.R.A the world’s 1st Autonomous AI Woman of Color!

A PODCAST REVOLUTION IS AFOOT AND VOICE ACTING HAS A STARRING ROLE

Miya Kanzaki, Associate Creative Director, SXM Media

Understanding podcasts and their various entrepreneurial inroads to creativity, marketing, and influence, is to deeply understand experiential audio, the human voice, and the advantages of a medium that elevates listening. People the world over are demanding the variety and customization of the podcast experience. And the world is catching on. As a result, podcasts are finding larger, more diverse audiences, and have become an exciting platform for a unique brand of “sonic visibility.” What that means is that the possibilities are endless for voice actors, both as actors who voice much of what appears on podcasts, but as creators who design podcasts to amplify their voiceover brands. This conversation will give a fresh new insight into the power you can wield through your own creativity. Miya Kanzaki leads the conversation with Octavia Bray, podcast creator and story editor for Disney Channel’s Raven’s Home, and Briggon Snow, podcast creator, actor, and producer.
